PERSONAL MINISTRIES DEPARTMENT

The Personal Ministries Department is considered to be the life blood of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.    It has as its mandate the Commission given in Matthew 28:19-20 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."

 The Way Forward

The Personal Ministries Department has embraced the directive given by Central Jamaica Conference through the Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Department, to arrange for the church to participate in the Small Group Programme.

Under the leadership of Elder Terrence Clarke, zones were identified; zone leaders volunteered, training conducted and now the church is activiely participating in the Small Group Programme.   Each week members may be seen assembling at another member's home, where together with family members and visitors, the Word of God is expounded.    The seeds are being planted and very soon, the harvest will be ready.

In addition to the small groups, each month the church conducts an outdoor street meeting and each week the members visit the communities and distribute  tracks and magazines to residents.   

Come Sunday, July 25 through to Sunday, August 22, 2010, Pastor Trevor Stewart will be sharing the word through the "Victory in Jesus" Gospel Crusade.
